communication port that the printer is connected to.
This option allows you to remove this device from your system. Using this option will allow you to delete the USB driver files associated with this device. If you choose not to remove the driver files, the next time the printer is connected (or the PC is re-booted), the printer will Plug and Play and the system will reload the USB drivers.
If you choose to remove the driver files they will not be available
for any other Ithaca USB devices. If you remove the driver files and
reconnect the printer the system will ask for driver files. You can
install an updated version of the USB driver in this manner (i.e.
removing the driver files).

There is an Ithaca USB device manager installed the Windows control
panel.
Use it to know the virtual comm port number for your USB printer.
On Windows 2000/Me/XP the Ithaca USB printer will be available via a
USB virtual printer port "USBxxx". This port name will be available
via the printer's property page in the printers settings. This is the
port name that must be selected when using the printer as a Windows
printer.
On Windows 98 the Ithaca printer driver must be installed before the
USB
virtual printer port "USBxxx" will be available.
See note below.
The install of these USB drivers also makes the USB device appear
as a virtual communication port (COMx). This allows the
Ithaca OPOS drivers, printer configuration, and POSPrinter OCX to
work with USB.
NOTE: Attempting to print to the USB printer via the virtual
communication port (COMx)
is STRONGLY DISCOURAGED use the virtual printer port (USBxxx).
